The Walk:
Considered one of the finest coastal walks in Northern
Ireland with
fabulous views out over the Sea of Moyle to the Mull of
Kintyre.
Legend tells of the four Children of Lir, changed into swans
by a
jealous step-mother, spending three hundred years in the Sea
of Moyle. It is a local belief that it was to a small area
of sea below the cliffs that the children returned when
their ordeal ended.
The walk reaches Layd church and graveyard, at which point
you
can retrace your path back or go uphill to the road which
also
takes you back to the start.
